Song of Songs 7:6-9
6 How beautiful you are and how pleasing,
my love, with your delights!
7 Your stature is like that of the palm,
and your breasts like clusters of fruit.
8 I said, “I will climb the palm tree;
I will take hold of its fruit.”
May your breasts be like clusters of grapes on the vine,
the fragrance of your breath like apples,
9 and your mouth like the best wine.
Does your breath smell like apples? Fresh, crisp, sparkling?
It is important to take care of the details that make us attractive to our husband. Avoid problematic foods like garlic, onions, coffee, tuna, and horseradish, which are some of the worst offenders, if it bothers your spouse. Brush and floss to eliminate germs and feel free to ask for a few minutes to freshen up before a morning rendezvous. If you are hoping your husband will venture south, then make sure you are freshly showered and fill your diet with acidic fruits like strawberries, kiwis and pineapple to make your taste even sweeter.
It is equally important to communicate the small ways that your husband can make himself attractive to you. It is CRAZY to miss out on connecting with each other simply because we are afraid to tell our husband he needs a shower or to brush his teeth. Don’t let the small details get in the way, simply tell him, “if you want to have sex, then go shower.” If your husband’s 5 o’clock shadow cuts you to shreds, give him a word picture, “imagine 40 grit sandpaper stroking your penis, that is what it feels like.” Help him to understand how important it is to you and how attracted you are when he comes prepared.
This Week –
- Ask your husband to make a list of 10 turn-offs and 10 turn-ons while you work on your own list. Then find a relaxed time to share the answers.
- Change your diet for a week and see if it makes a difference.
- Give your husband oral sex immediately following an Altoids mint, ice, or hot tea to provide an extra refreshing experience.
