This past year I had the opportunity to be part of an Awaken-Love class – a six week women’s Christian sex class. It had such a huge impact on me and my marriage that I am hosting an Awaken-Love video class starting on ___________.
As you might imagine, I went into the class a little nervous about what we would talk about. Well, the class was amazing! My husband and I are so much more connected. We are flirting and talking and taking time to put each other first. I have a better understanding of the intimacy God wants me to have with my husband and even though it is not always easy, I am taking steps in the right direction.
Christians don’t usually talk about sex, but it is so important. Whether you realize it or not, we are constantly bombarded with wrong messages about men, women and sex. This class will teach you what God’s intent for sex is, what it looks like and how to get there. Honestly, I think in some small way, I always thought sex was something I needed to do for my husband, but I now believe that it is just as important for me.
The class provides real answers, with lots of practical ideas and examples. Everything is based on God’s Word, in fact it helped me understand what it means to have an intimate relationship with Christ, too. We talk about how our body works, and how our husband’s body works – it is all respectfully done.
The six weeks are filled with video teaching from Awaken-Love, amazing group discussion time, reading a couple of great Christian books, reading daily articles from Christian blogs, and super fun application homework. I’m sending this to a very select, hand-picked group of women and you are one of them! After reading this you might think I’m crazy, but I hope instead you’ll join me!
I found a 6-week women’s video class about Christian sex in marriage called Awaken-Love. I feel it’s something that hasn’t been candidly and openly discussed in Christian circles and a topic that is still sadly, kept ‘under the covers.’
But it’s so important and the video class tackles the subject head on – no holds barred. The video class curriculum is complimented by Christian books. Instead of the usual message of “this is so important for your husband,” the class’ focus is on how important sex and intimacy is for wives, too. The class talks about building stronger marriages, but also enforces the importance of having an intimate relationship with Christ.
Each week, we will watch a video that includes the bulk of the teaching, but we will pause the video periodically for group discussion. Several chapters of reading are assigned each week, along with application homework (that I hear is pretty fun, by the way). We also get daily emails sent to us with just a short article to read. You will need a private email address that kids don’t have access to because some of the articles get pretty detailed.
I have to admit, I probably spend more time planning my grocery list than I spend thinking about sex, so this is a class that I can really use and am super excited about!
